MOUNT HOLLY - Addie Ruby Huffstetler Broome, 90, of 317 Tomberlin Road, died July 18, 2011.

She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Walter and Laura Huffstetler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Broome; one son, Tim Howard Broome Sr.; two sisters, Bessie Morris and Zenola Baker; four brothers, Gonzalee, Gurney, Melvin, and Robert Huffstetler.

She was homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mount Holly.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Camille Broome Farmer of Mount Holly, Tim Broome Jr. and wife Melissa of Mount Holly, Jill D. Haney and husband Jeff of Gastonia; seven great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter; one daughter-in-law, Scottie Broome of Gastonia.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Broome will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly with Dr. Robert Winecoff officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly is in charge of the arrangements.
