Mr Iona "TEX" Texas Cook of East Point, the retired Manager of Automotive Brake and Clutch in Doraville died September 26, 1996.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Mary Pinyan cook of East Point Ga., daughters Mr and Mrs Dick (Jane) Mohler of St. Augustine, Fl., Ms. Linda Knight,Acworth GA.,Ms Carol Sue Tankersley of Harrelson, son Mr. and Mrs. Mike Martin(susanne) of Newnan , 8 grand children and 11 great grand children.
Tex grew up in the Morningside Area and graduated from Boys High in Atlanta. He was the son of I.T. Cook Senior and Willie Church Cook.
Graveside service Monday september 30 at 100PM at Westview Cemetery.Minsters Marty Lee and Ed Dudley Officiating.Family and friends assemble at the Funeral home at 1200pm noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on saturday september 28 from 6-8Pm and on Sunday from 2-5 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Southwest Christian Hospice.
