Charles E. Ethridge Died Yesterday ABBEVILLE. June 30 (Special) Charles Elijah Ethridge, 61, died at his home on the Due West highway yesterday at two o'clock. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon (Friday) at 3:30 o'clock from Long. Cane Presbyterian church conducted by the- Rev. M. A. CuRnnt assisted by the Rev. George M. Telford and ' burial will be at Long. Cane.: graveyard. Mr. Ethridge was .born In the Rocky River section of the county September 24th, 1877. the son of William Wade Ethridge and Elizabeth Hall Ethridge. both of this state. He has lived in his present home for thirty-three years. He was a planter and was well known. He-Is survived by his wife Louise Virginia .Ethridge, two daughters, Mrs. M. C. Pinson, Mrs. S. W. Gilmer and one. son James Alvin Ethridge all of Abbeville. Mr. Ethridge was a member of the Rocky River Baptist church.
