She leaves an aunt, Bernice Richardson, with whom she lived for several years, and a cousin, Helen Bosworth of Needham. She was born in Marlboro, daughter of Rockland and Ella M. (Richardson) Walter,, and lived in Jamaica Plain for most of her life before coming here several years ago.
She was educated in Roslindale Schools. Miss Walter worked as a dietary aide at the Home for Aged Women in Jamaica Plain before retiring in 1977.
Private graveside services were held in the Glenn Valley Cemetery in Barre. Arrangements were directed by the Smith Funeral Home, 69 Vernon St.
