Early settler of Pine Grove (now Parker), Colorado. Brother of James S. Parker. Enlisted in the Civil War; served with Company F, 41st Infantry Regiment of Illinios; mustered out August 20, 1864; military record annotated "distinguished service." Aout 1874 he homesteaded 240 acres in the Pine Grove area and operated a saloon. Successfully bid on a mail carrier route between Pine Grove and Franktown, Colorado. Generously donated land for two churches and a creamery. While visiting friends and relatives in California he passed away.
