BATAVIA – Daniel John Bahlman, 43, of Batavia and formerly of Springfield, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012. He was born Dec. 17, 1968, in Springfield, the son of William and Sally (Rodgers) Bahlman.

Daniel worked as a house painter in the Batavia and Western Suburban area. He was a free spirit and had a love and passion for nature, hiking, camping and cross country skiing.

He is survived by his mother, Sally Bahlman of Sarasota, Fla., three sisters, Karen (Nick) Helm of Plano, Texas, Holly (Hernan) Sanchez of Moore, Okla., and Cindy (John) Nelson of Yorkville; and three nieces, Brianna, Ashley, and Alexandra Nelson.

He is preceded in death by his father William.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. Batavia. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Suicide Prevention Services, 528 South Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL 60510.
