Boby is survived by Marvalee Byrd, his mother Mary Pat Byrd of Albuquerque, and his children: Gerry, Debbie, Kelley, Boby, Jimy, Mindy, Fate, Boots, Mitchell, Holly, and Storm. Boby is also survived by five grandchildren: Tiffany, Kayla, Marquis, Haley, and Colin.
His ten surviving brothers and sisters are: Sugar, Sue, Nancy, Anita, Vicki, Steven, Tommy, Cathy, Helen, and Deanna.
Preceding him in death were his father Robert Lowell Byrd Sr., brother Richard, and children Jay and Angel.
Boby also has several aunts, uncles, and cousins residing in the Albuquerque area.
Boby spent many years in the airline business as well as owning several Baskin Robbins ice cream stores. Most recently, Boby worked as an Operations agent for Southwest Airlines.
