WILLISTON - Shirley K. DeBarge, 75, a longtime resident of South Burlington, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 18, 2012.
Shirley was born in Burlington on June 11, 1936, the daughter of Mose and Hildred (Broadwell) Dumas.
She married Raymond DeBarge on Nov. 21, 1953, in St. John Vianney Catholic Church in South Burlington. Raymond predeceased her on May 6, 2008.
Shirley is survived by her three children, Deborah Varnon of Florida, Michael DeBarge and his wife, Theresa, of Burlington, and Robin Beauchemin of South Burlington; daughter-in-law, Sherry DeBarge of North Carolina; grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Michael Jr., Melissa, Stephanie, Derek, Ashley, Andrew and Timmy; great-grandchildren, Hayli, Kellie Rae, Shelton, Mason, Noelle, and Carter; sisters, Sylvia Purinton and husband, Harold, Pauline O'Brien, Carol Henle, and Beatrice Carroll; and brother, Louis Dumas and his wife, Janet.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and son, Brian DeBarge.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in South Burlington.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Park Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
Arrangements are with the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St., Winooski, VT.
