Adolph Buck was born in Chicago in 1897 to Homer and Mary Ann (Palzer) Buck. The family moved to Shelbyville, Indiana, and then to San Francisco in 1903. Adolph married Marie Josephine Albrefczenski in 1918. Adolph and his brother Stanley owned and operated the Buck Brothers Welding Company at 1515 Folsum in San Francisco from 1921 until about 1950, after which he worked as an appraiser. As a hobby, Adolph won numerous awards as an expert marksman with a pistol. He died November 14, 1978.
