He was in the U.S. Army in W.W.I in France as a Private in machine gun co. of 309th infantry.

He was my great uncle on my moms side. He worked on a farm most of his life. He was a member of the Simonsville Congegational Church. He was a former Andover Fire Warden and a member of the American Legion. He was wounded in France and discharged in 1919.
