GEORGE W GATES--George W Gates died at 11:15 o'clock yesterday morning at St Elizabeth hospital from hemorrhage of the stomach. He had been in the hospital two weeks. Mr Gates was about 61 years old and for the past few years had made his home with his son Albert Gates, south of Lafayette. He leaves the following children: Mrs Ethel Brewer and Charles W Gates of Danville, Ill.; Mrs Alonzo Roberts, of Veedersburg, Ind.; Harry F. Gates, of Albuquerque, NM; Gilbert and Burt Gates, of this county. The body was taken to the Folckemer parlors to be prepared for burial and the funeral will be held from the undertaking parlors tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment in the Fink cemetery.
