ABINGDON, Va. Blanche Louise Bott, 95, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Bott was born, Sept. 18, 1916, in Abingdon, where she lived for 92 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margret and James Foran; husband, Floyd K. Bott; daughter, Peggy F. Tolliver; great-granddaughter, Melissa Schaum and grandson, Charles F. Wilcox. Mrs. Bott will be greatly missed by her family. She enjoyed and deeply loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Bott leaves behind a loving daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Roy Wilcox of Perry Hall, Md.; grandson, John R. Wilcox of Perry Hall; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Darlene and Kenny Grupp of Baltimore; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jeanette and Chris Schaum of Perry Hall; loving son-in-law, Joe Tolliver of Abingdon; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Lisa and Stephen Zappardo of Kingsport, Tenn.; great- grandchildren, Danny Grupp of Baltimore, Christopher Schaum of Perry Hall, Brent Grupp of Baltimore, A.J. Zappardo of Kingsport and Samantha Schaum of Perry Hall. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2012, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral and Cremation Service with Bob McCormick officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2012, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with John R. Wilcox, AJ Zappardo, Steve Zappardo, Kenny Grubb, Chris Schaum, Wayne Houser, Mark Barrett and Darrell Hall serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Wilcox, Danny Grupp, Christopher Schaum, Brent Grupp, Joe Tolliver, Calvin Odum, and Frank Hall. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral and Cremation Service in Abingdon.
