EUGENE LOGAN, 58, PIONEER ROMAN, DIES SATURDAY

Eugene Paul Logan, 58, a resident of Rome his entire life, passed away Saturday morning at 11:30 o'clock at his residence, 507 E. Eighth street. Mr. Logan had been ill for more than a year.

Mr. Logan was born in Rome, December 20, 1872. He was engaged in the candy manufacturing business for several years, ill health forcing him to retire. He was a Spanish American war veteran and a member of the First Methodist church.

Mr. Logan had hundreds of loyal friends in Rome and Floyd County and was one of the most respected citizens of the city.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ada Mize Logan, three daughters, Mrs. W. Elliott Camp and Mrs. W. H. Austin, of Rome and Mrs. C.C. Carry of Florida; his mother, Mrs. Jennie Wood Logan; three brothers, Ernest and Tom Logan, of Rome, and Guy Logan, of Chicago, one sister, Mrs. R. E. Childs, of Rome. Three grandchildren also survive.

Funeal services will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 3 o;clock. Rev. W. L. Collins, pastor or Mr. Logan's church will officiate. Interment will be in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will act as pallbearers:
Peyton Grimm, Henry Thompson, Capt. Henry Stewart, P.I. McBrayer, D. C. Stroud, and W. L. White.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend the funeral of Eugene Paul Logan which will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence, 507 E. Eighth street. Rev. W. L. Collins will officaite and interment will be in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
