According to information at the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution there was proof that Andrew Pleasants Bolding's middle name was from his mother's maiden name. Her name was Mary "Polly" Pleasants, daughter of Thomas Pleasants. Mary was born on 6 Jul 1782 in Halifax Co, VA and died on 26 Dec 1848 in Franklin Co., AL.
