An injury which he suffered in the fall of 1932, proved fatal to Frank C Kantz, 63, living half a mile north of Linden, who died at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Home hospital in Lafayette.
Mr. Kantz, a maintenance man for twelve years along state highway 43, running between Lafayette and crawfordsville, was injured when he fell from a truck in November, 1932. (According to Inis, he was caught between a truck and a road grader, injuring both legs.) He never recovered his health after the accident and only a little more than a year ago was forced to undergo an operation for amputation of his right leg. He was taken to the Lafayette hospital again last Saturday morning and Tuesday he underwent another operation for amputation of his left leg.
The amputations were made necessary, it was said, by the formation of blood clots on his legs.
Mr. Kantz was born in Tippecanoe county near Lafayette April 6, 1871, the son of Lucas and Dorothy Kantz. He was married to Carrie E. Mulhollen, December 22, 1898. She preceded him in death seven years ago.
He belonged to Masonic Lodge No. 441 at Romney and was a member of the Methodist Church in Linden, taking an active part in both organizations as soon as his health permitted.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Inis (Frank) Snouwaert, of near Linden; a sister, Mrs. Theresa (Thomas) Buskirk, of near Crawfordsville; three brothers, Andrew Kantz, of Anderson; George, of West Lafayette, and William, of Lafayette, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Linden Methodist church with the Rev. R. W. Michaels , of Flora, officiating. Burial will be at the West Point cemetery.

Mrs. Ocho Jackson Pell was taken to live with Frank and Carrie Kantz when she was about 10 years old. They raised her as a daughter and sister to Inis.
