Marilla, daughter of Samuel & Judith (Wright) Knickerbocker was born 17 June 1792 in CT. The family moved to NY the same year. She was a teacher. She married Michael Isenhour 22 Aug 1816 in Seneca, NY. They were the parents of nine children all born in NY. They moved to Woolwich Township of Waterloo County, ONT in 1837. Michael was a blacksmith and bell maker. Michael died in Galena, IL while visiting their son, William. On the 1861 census for Waterloo County, Marilla is living with her daughter, Susan and husband George Streeter. Marilla was listed as a widow. She later moved to Fillmore County, MN to live with a son, George Alexander. She died in Preston Township, Fillmore County, MN 22 May 1874; and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery there. - Virginia Sande 3/14/12

Michael Eisenhauer/Isenhour, born in York County, Pennsylvania in 1788, was the son of Leonard Eisenhauer/Isenhour, 1758-1815, and Maria Elizabeth (Heinrich) Eisenhauer. Michael is believed to have died in Galena, JoDaviess County, Illinois, while visiting his son, William, and his family. Cemetery unknown at this time. Michael was last enumerated in the 1857 Minnesota Territorial Census at Eagle Creek, Scott County with his son, Leonard Isenhour, and his family.

Michael and Marilla's daughter Eliza Adeline, born in 1835, married Edward Bristow, and died in Windsor, Essex County, Ontario, on 28 October 1892.
