Dorothy Queen Riley, a housewife and loving grandmother, died at 12:05 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at OLOLRMC. She was 84 and a resident of Port Allen.
Visitation at New Poplar Grove Baptist Church until services, conducted by the Rev. Dr. S.H. Freeman. Interment at Our Lady of Knight Cemetery in Port Allen.
She is survived by adopted daughter, Melody Chance, of Fort Worth; sons, Pink Riley Jr. (Diane) of Port Allen, Pastor Freddie L. Riley Sr. (Bonnie) of Baton Rouge, Donald Ray Riley Sr. (Barbara) of Port Allen, and Henry Riley of Port Allen; sisters, Lillian Thomas of Port Allen and Rosa Lee Grimes of Brusly; brother, Leroy Grimes of Baton Rouge; 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Pink Riley Sr.; mother, Gertrude S. Grimes; father, Amos Queen; daughter, Dorothy Phillips; two brothers; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-greatgrandson.
