Pearl was born in Pleasant Grove, Utah to George D. and Cassie Ann W. West.
She married Otto Paul Farley (1890-1920) on June 5, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Children: Owen Theodore Farley 1914-1951, Nellie Virginia Farley 1918-1920.
Pearl also married Stanley H. Brodie (born in 1887).
Pearley West was born in Pleasant Grove, Ut, she was the fourth child of George Daniel West and Cassie Walker- a very fine young girl, who was struck with scarlet fever and became totally deaf at an early age. She was placed in the school at Odgen, Utah and won a special scholarship to a Chicago school for the deaf.
She married to Otto Paul Farley, a deaf printer and brillant young man. They had two children. The girl died soon after birth. Pearley's husband died that same year leaving Pearley to raise a young son, Owen Theodore. Cassie, the grandmother, helped while Pearley went to work.
Several years later she remarried Stanley Broadie from Heber ,Utah, and had two more children. She was expecting another baby but uremic poisoning set in and took her life as well as her expected baby. Pearley was a very fine person and kept cheerful and busy in spite of her life of deafness.
She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother.
