Death Claims Another Victim
Mrs. Lydia Wirt died at the home of her son, William Foster, near West Millgrove, June 6, 1905. She was aged 73 years, 11 months and 22 days.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Swope, and was born in Seneca county, June 15, 1831.
In 1849 she was married to Abraham Foster. To this union were born ten children, seven of whom survive her--five sons and two daughters. Twenty-nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister and three brothers also live to mourn her loss. She was married a second time to Levi Wirt in 1887.
She was a member of the congregational church of West Millgrove for many years.
The funeral services were conducted at the congregational church, Thursday, June 8, by Rev. Eby of Oberlin. Interment was made in West Millgrove cemetery.
