The 1920 and 1930 Censuses show Lester living with his grandparents, John Henry and Nelly Maria on Mason St. By 1930 he had been orphaned for 10 years (both parents died fairly young) It also shows his uncle Ernest living in the home, one wonders if this is why Ernest Lester became just Lester.
