LINDA S. BIRD, 59, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Fort Wayne, she worked as a Senior Administrator with Magtech Services Inc. "Linda was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend." She enjoyed gardening. Surviving are her husband, Michael F. Bird of Fort Wayne; son, Michael B. (Alisha) Bird; daughter, Bianca Bird of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Michael Caleb, Georgia Grace, Jozlynn, Juliana, Jonathon and Madison; brothers, Joseph M. (Heather) Doak, Thomas Doak and William Doak; sisters, Susan (Tom) Wolfe, Patricia (Reggie) Barnwell and Jennifer (Bill) Leister; brothers-in-law, Stephen (Julie) Bird and Philip (Julie) Bird; best friend, Mary Berghoff-Bundza; and lifelong friend, Nancy Freehill-Eagle; 13 nephews; and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph A. and Marjorie A. Doak; and daughter, Tuesday Hope Bird. Service is 10 a.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
