Rose Esther Covey, age 56 of Chickalah Mountain, Yell County, AR died Friday, October 18, 2002 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born August 3, 1946 in Booneville, AR to the late Cove Brannam and Margaret Bobbitt. She was a mother and homemaker.

Survivors include, her husband of 21 years, Daviye Covey; a son, Jeremy Covey of Chickalah Mountain; two daughters, Amy Covey of Chickalah Mountain and DiAnne Helton of Magazine, AR; three brothers, Richard Brannam of Hunnington, Damon Brannam of Ft. Smith and Larry Brannam of Waveland; six sisters, Joyce Rushing, Lavaca, Ruth Walker, Sugar Grove, Brenda Robinson, Paris, Martha Smith, Havana, Marilyn Burrows, Charleston and Doris Robinson, Belleville; two grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service was October 21, 2002 at the Chickalah Mountain Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Weaver and Bro. Bob Chism officiating. Pallbearers were Jeremy Covey, Michael Burrows, Scotty Dewitt, Eli Thacker, Archie Walker, Jr. James Hise, James Sears, and Rickey Ramey. Honorary Tiny Robinson.
