MRS. LUDWIG WERNER
WANATAH -- Mrs. Ludwig (Pauline Louise) Werner, 84, of Kouts, a former resident of Wanatah, died at 10 a.m. Sunday at the E Street Division Hospital at LaPorte.
Born at Wanatah Aug. 19, 1883, she was the daughter of Herman and Louise (Gussman) Kuehn. On Sept. 26, 1905 at Wanatah, she was married to Ludwig A. Werner, who preceded her in death in 1949.
Mrs. Werner was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a charter member of St. John's Ladies Aid.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Vera) Billerbeck, Wanatah; three sons, Raymond, Wanatah, Earl, Westville, and Willard, Kouts; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Winfred Neuendorf officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wiesjahn Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and then at the church.
