Howard Glenn Hardee, Sr., age 81, born on September 20, 1930 in Natchez, MS, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Rest Haven Living Center in Bogalusa, LA.
He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He retired after forty years from Gaylord Container Box Plant. A graduate of Picayune High School in 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Joe Stogner Hardee of Bogalusa, LA; four daughters, Debra Ann (Dr. Charles) Caldwell of Savannah, GA, Joanna (Darron) Thomas of Bogalusa, LA, Sherry Lou (George) Jenkins of Franklinton, LA and Elizabeth Ann (Walter) May of Tylertown, MS; two sons, Howard Glenn (Ann) Hardee, Jr. of Mandeville, LA and Steve Hardee of Hammond, LA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Rhoda Mae "Dodie" Smith; his parents, Lamar and Bessie Hardee.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Services at 2:30 P.M. The Rev. Field Thigpen will officiate with Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
