Memorial service for Gary Lane, 54, will be at 9 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Lane, who was born in Los Angeles, died Monday. A 40-year Spokane resident, he was graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1963. Mr. Lane served with the Navy during the Vietnam War on a helicopter gunship crew.
In 1974 he married Deborah Fitts. Mr. Lane had worked as a bus driver for the Spokane Transit Authority since 1975.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert and John Lane, and a daughter, Michelle Ludwick, all of Spokane; his stepfather, Bill Watson of Ukiah, Calif.; two brothers, Ron Graves of Veradale and Vincent Watson of Belfair, Wash.; a sister, Sue Stickle of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
