AHEARN, FRANCES WYNANTSKILL - Frances G. Welsh Ahearn, 104, died October 16, 2011. Born in Bennington, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Frances LaChance Bishop. She was formerly employed by Cluett Peabody. Fran is survived by a daughter, Dolores and her husband Richard Chagnon; a great grandson, Robert T. Irwin and his wife Kim; two great great granddaughters, Beth and Erika Irwin; a stepson, J. Mark Ahearn of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Frank T. Welsh and Joseph M. Ahearn; a grandson, Mark David Chagnon, and her siblings. The family would like to thank the staff at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center for the wonderful care given to Frances. The funeral will be on Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Jude's Church, Wynantskill where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the church Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 am. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Church 42 Dana Ave., Wynantskill, NY 12198.
