George M. Martin, 67, of Martin, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Services were held at noon Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church in Martin with Father Joseph Paolozzi officiating.
Jeremy Johnson, Jamie Bivens, Mike Kostelac and Robert Conrad served as pallbearers.
Martin was born January 8, 1943 in East St. Louis, Mo., son of the late George M. and Ann Brewington Martin. He was a retired chemist at Continental Products and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Caryl Deatherage Martin of Martin; one son, Michael Keith Martin of Martin; two daughters and one son-in-law, Melanie and Mike Kostelac of Las Vegas, Nev. and Cheryl Lynn Bates of Dresden; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Martin of Sharon; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Karen Martin of Malvern, Ark.; one stepbrother, John Brewington; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jimmy Prewitt of Marion, Ill.; six grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson, Adrienne Martin, Christen Klein, Gillian Martin, Jamie Bivens and Tyler Beal; and two great-grandchildren Jefferson Johnson and Adalynn Klein.
