Adeline is a daughter of George and Patsy Morris. From an online book source on William Henry Jenkins, Patsy Morris was born abt 1808 in Tennessee. She came to Dade County, Missouri by 1836. The District 25, 1850 Dade County, MO Census lists Patsy Morris, 42, and son Joseph, 22, both born in Tennessee. Children born in MO include: Mary, 15, Pickney, 13, Lonancy, 11, Suvina (Salvana), 7, Telitha, 4, and Artitus, 1. Sarah Morris, 42, born in Arkansas, and Alusem Morris, 24, born in Alabama. Nothing is known about the father George at this time.

Adeline was 85 at the time of her death from an accidental impacted fracture of neck of femur, according to her death certificate. Her son Ulysses E was the informant.

Dade County Advocate July 12, 1928 - Aunt Adeline Alexander passed away at the home of her son Uless, last Tuesday July 3. She was 85 years (her birthday) on the day she died. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church on the afternoon of the 4th by Rev. W.R. Russell of Everton. She was laid to rest in the Rice Cemetery.
