Amelia "Millie" Whitney, 84, of Pueblo passed away March 12, 1999. Born Nov. 24, 1914, in Malachite, Colo. Proceeded in death by her husband, Earl T. Whitney; one daughter, Carolyn Joyce Crespin; and her parents Filiberto and Josefita Espinoza. Survived by her sons, Charles Pineda, Westminster, and Gerald (Donna) Whitney, Pueblo; daughters, JoAnne Pineda, Westminster, Marie Lynn (Clarence), Avondale, Betty Estrada, Pueblo, Janet (Jan) Smith, Pueblo, and Jean Whitney, Pueblo; 38 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren. Millie was very active at St. Anne Church and was always helping with the church festivals. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Mariachi del Pueblo. Viewing 1 to 6 p.m. today and Sunday at Romero Chapel, Pueblo. Vigil rosary, 7 p.m. Sunday, St. Anne Church. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anne Church, Rev. James Friel, celebrant. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. The family respectfully requests the omission of food. Donations may be made to St. Anne Church. Relatives and friends will be received at St. Anne Church Hall after the interment.
