Effie Lucille Phillips Bartholomew, age 68, of Spanish Fork, died Sunday, September 26, 1993, at Mountain View Hospital from a massive heart attack. She was born March 7, 1926 in Springville to Victor Thomas and Effie Coffman Phillips. She married Varian D. Bartholomew March 12, 1948 in the logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by five children: Lynn Bartholomew of North Ogden; Kayleen Kidman of Spanish Fork; Karen Durfee of Sandy; Gary Bartholomew, of Page, Arizona; Alan Bartholomew, of San Francisco; 18 grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Lamar Phillips of Texas; Blaine Phillips of Ogden; Harold Phillips of Seattle; Verl Dean Phillips of Eureka; Foris Phillips of Springville; Barbara Kane of Anaheim, California; Rachel Deeben of Sterling, Virginia; Ruth Gray of Smithfield. Burial was October 1, 1993.
