Cpl. Conner T. Lowry, 24, of Chicago, Ill., died March 1 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif. Beloved son of Modie Lavin (nee Whealan) and the late Thomas Lowry. Loving brother of Gracie Lavin and Margot, Brian (Kim) and Charley Lavin. Dearest grandson of Anne (nee Conners) and the late James Whealan and the late Margaret and Dean Lowry. Conner was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Graduate of St. John Fisher Grammar School (2002) and Brother Rice H.S. (2006). Visitation Friday 2-9pm at St. John Fisher Church 103rd St. and Fairfield Ave. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
