On the record of Justin Smithwick's , as indexed on familysearch.org, Justin's surname is listed as Smillunck instead of Smithwick. Also on infant Justin Smithwick's indexed birth record, James Milton Smithwick's surname is indexed as Milton. However, Florence Edna Robinson's name is correctly indexed. At the time of Justin's birth, Florence is 20 years old and James Milton Smithwick is 32 years of age. According to the indexed record of Justin Smithwick's birth, he was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the document number is 31221.

Death certificate 28651 of Justin Smithwick states that he was born on December 9, 1909 and died on December 23, 1909 as are result of a premature birth. Dr. S Louise wrote on the death certificate, whose surname is impossible to read, that she last saw him alive on 12-23-1909, and death occurred 10:45 pm. Justin only lived 2 hours.

After the death of Justin Smithwick on 1909, Florence filed for a divorce from James Milton Smithwick October 30, 1915 at Calhoun County Michigan, and sometime during 1916 was granted a divorce from James M. Smithwick. From the divorce record, Edna F Smithwick was the complaint, also there were not any other children produced from Florence and James' marriage.

Florence and Jesse Holtzendorff remained in Harve Hill County, Montana after their marriage in 1916, and they are the parents of one child as recorded in the 1920 United States census record. In 1920, Florence and Jesse are doing very well in Harv, and they are able to purchase their home located at 826 2nd Avenue in Harve. They have purchased their own house , however, the property is mortgaged. Jesse is employed as a policemen with the Harve City Police Department. Jesse is 26 years of age, white male, born in Florida and speaks the English language, and he is a salaried employee. Jesse also speaks English.

Florence is a stay at home mother, keeping the house and is a mother of one child, Benjamin L. Holtzendorff. As recorded in the 1920 census record, Florence is 31 year old , married to Jesse, can read and write , speaks English. Florence was not born in the United States but immigrated to the U. S. on November 1902 from Canada. As mentioned above, Florence is the mother of Benjamin, and he is 2 years and one month old. Benjamin is a native of Harve Hill County, Montana. All members of this house hold have listed as white in the 1920 census.

It is the year 1930, once again, and the United States Census Enumeration has come. Florence is living with her husband Jesse L, and their three children in Los Angeles, Angeles County, California. Florence's husband, Jesse L. Holtzendorff is now renting his home located 1932 North Wilton Street for $60.00 per month. For some reason, the federal government wanted to know if Jesse had a radio set, and he did. Florence and Jesse are not living on a farm, he is 36 years of age and was 23 years old when he married Florence who was 28 years old, and this is Florence's second marriage even though the census record shows this is her first marriage. Jesse can read and write, has the ability to speak English, born in Florida, father was born in Georgia, and mother was born in Florida. Jesse continues his working as an office of the law in California but was given a new rank as Chief of Police at a motion picture studio. Lest we forget, Jesse was a veteran in the armed forces of the United States. Jesse was in the year 1894.

Florence is a stay-at-home mother rearing three children. Benjamin L who is the oldest was born 1918 in Montana and was 12 years old, Shirley S. was born 1921 California and is 8 years of age, and Florence S. was born in Montana, and she is 9 years old. All three of the children had attended school since, September 1, 1929. the children could speak English, read and write as well. Florence is also literate also and speaks English.
