Marian Louise Smith Southworth, born February 23, 1923 in Sioux City, Iowa to Roy William Smith and Dorthea Gwendolyn Digle, passed away peacefully to join her beloved Jim for time and all eternity on February 26, 2012 surrounded by her family.

Marian went to school up to the eighth grade in Danbury, Iowa. Marian loved to cook, do embroidery, and visit with family, but her greatest love was working in the LDS Jordan River Temple.

She is survived by daughters Nickie (Brian) Farnsworth and Jamie (Noah) Sifuentes; son Kent (Susan) Southworth; twenty-four grandchildren; and thirty-seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter Sandra Ainsworth.

A viewing will be held Thursday evening, March 1, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, Riverton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bluffdale Seventh Ward Chapel, 14662 South 3200 West, with a viewing one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Utah Veteran's Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Willams Road.
