John Champion Reed, 67, proud father and devoted husband, departed this earth on February 24th. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Janice Ann Reed, his two daughters Michelle Leuthardt and Nicole Smith as well as his granddaughter, Kaylee Smith of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his two sisters, Jeanie Wright and Merdella Huckleberry of Jacksonville, FL. As a Captain in the Air Force and B-52 pilot he pursued his love of flying. He was an avid photographer, a passion shared with his wife and now prevalent in daughter and granddaughter. He spent his last years as a genealogist, researching his family history as a gift of knowledge to pass down to future generations. Family will receive friends on Tues., Feb. 28th from 4-6pm at the funeral home. A military service will be held at the DFW National Cemetery, Wed., Feb. 29th, Rev. Kay Hunter presiding. Arrangements being made by Aria Funeral Home, 19310 Preston Rd., Dallas, TX.
