THAYER - Eddie Adamson, 61, of Thayer died Sunday morning, Nov. 8, 1998, at his home.
He was born June 25, 1937, in Cherryvale to Andrew and Bessie (McCollum) Adamson. He graduated from Labette County High School, Altamont, in 1955.

He married Patricia Erlyne Ashmore on Sept. 3, 1955, in Cherryvale. They moved from Neodesha to Thayer in 1990. She survives of the home.

Since moving to Thayer, Mr. Adamson had owned and operated the Fireside Inn restaurant at Thayer. He formerly owned and operated the Neodesha Packing Plant.

He was a member of the Lord's Chapel and was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Neodesha and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Other survivors include his mother, Bessie Tuggle of Cherryvale; two daughters, Terri Norton and Loree Ellis, both of Thayer; three sisters, Rosetta Hastings of Parsons, Lucille Christmore of Coffeyville and Rowena Cochrane of Fort Scott; and seven grandchildren.
A daughter, Lynna, and a sister, Mary, preceded him in death.
