Mrs. Dora Lee Greene Glenn, age 71, of Norwood Hollow Road, Banner Elk and a former resident of Vilas, died Monday morning, February 27, 2012 at Life Care Center of Banner Elk. Born March 17, 1940 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Wade and Addie McGuire Greene. Mrs. Glenn was a member of Cove Creek Baptist Church. Dora was retried from the Western Watauga Community Center.
She is survived by one daughter; Brenda Smith and husband Roger of Zionville, two sons; Bob Glenn of Kingsport, TN and Barry Glenn of Virginia, one sister; Mary Lewis of Granite Falls, and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Wade and Addie McGuire Greene, her husband Tommy Glenn and one son; Bill Glenn.
Memorial services for Mrs. Dora Lee Greene Glenn will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1 o'clock until 2 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel.
