Services for Mrs. Lou Ethel Hawkins Aaron will be at 11 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2012 at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Solomon Shorter, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories under the direction of Progressive Funeral Home.

Mrs. Aaron, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

She retired from the Rapides Parish School Board as an Instructional Media Supervisor in 1998 and was currently working at the Rapides Parish Library.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Willora Dansen Hawkins; her husband, Charles Aaron; sister, Winfred H. Webster and one nephew, Adrian Hawkins.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories one brother, Don A. (Barbara) Hawkins of Riverside, California; two sisters, Albertena H. (James) Edison and Altonette Hawkins both of Alexandria; nieces and nephews; Cheryl Scott, Eric Hawkins, Michelle Hawkins, Jason Hawkins, Janelle W. Webster and Dawn S. Edison; a very special great niece and nephew, Amarian J.E. Spears and Zackaryie M. Hawkins; god-daughter, Monique Foster Oliver; neighbor over 30 years, Daisy Lavalais; close friends, Florence Iises Warren, Irma Gonzaque, Gwen Foster, Emily Culbert (Debbie), Charles F. Smith and her Library Family. An extended family of in-laws ; Pearl Aaron, Pat, Don and Lewis Sibley; Class of '60 and last but not least her True Vine Church Family.

Friends may view after 9 a.m. on Friday at the church.
