Services for Mr. Owen, 61, a carpenter who lived on Logue Road in Mt. Juliet, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Coile officiating. Burial will be at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Tommy and Rondall Wilkerson, Carroll Spencer, Tommy Jernigan, Tom and James Owen.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Owen was born June 5, 1930 in Oakland, Ill to Harley B. Owen and Ora Lee Bean. He had lived in Mt. Juliet since 1972. He died March 24 at Parkview Hospital after a brief illness.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sims Owen of Mt. Juliet; sons Chester William Owen of Lebabon, Rodger E. and Steven Brady Owen of Mt. Juliet; a daughter, Dianne Sue Owen of Mt. Juliet; three grandchildren; sisters Anne Isabelle Garrett of Michigan, Ruby Idell Mueller of California and Marjorie Lee Spencer of Wisconsin; a brother, James Edward Owen of Tolono, Ill.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
