Annie Bell was my grandmother (Ann Talbot Roberts, daughter of Audrey Louise Cassell Roberts); she died at home in Roanoke when I was 6 months old and living there with my mother as my father was still in the US Navy, having served on a hospital ship (the Consolation) in the Pacific during WW2. I heard so many good things about her from my mother and was sad never to have met her.
