Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. David Kellin, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Military graveside services were in charge of the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post, No. 238, of Greenwood.

GREENWOOD--Marion J. Hunt, 72, La Crosse, a former Greenwood, Clark County resident, died Friday morning, Jan. 24, 1964 in the Veterans Hospital at Tomah. He had been a patient there for the past two years.

Beginning Sunday afternoon the body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. David Kellin, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, will officiate, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Military graveside services will be in charge of the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post.

Marion J. Hunt was born May 31, 1891, at Greenwood, and lived here until 1910, when he went to Appleton where he attended Lawrence College. He then was a missionary to Honduras for 25 years. His wife died several years ago.

Mr. Hunt was a member of the 32nd Division, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Roy L. Vinger Legion Post in La Crosse.

Survivors include two brothers, Dr. Hale Hunt, La Crosse and Newell Hunt, Chippewa Falls.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
