George A. Mounts, 88 of Dierks, AR died Friday, January 30th, 1998, at the Nashville Hospital. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31st at the Dierks Church of Christ, with James McRae and Tommy Mounts officiating. Burial will be in Burg Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home. Mr. Mounts was born July 29th, 1909, at Dierks, Arkansas, the son of the late Tessie W. Sr, and Estella Simmons Mounts. He was a member of the Dierks Church of Christ, and a retired Weyerhaeuser employee. Mr. Mounts was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Mounts, who died in 1975; a son, Arthur Ray Mounts; one brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Hazel P. Mounts of Dierks, Arkansas. Two daughters, Dovie F. Arnold of Dierks, and Georgia A. Kirkpatrick of Texarkana, TX. Two brothers, Roy Mounts of Dierks, Arkansas and Wilburn Mounts of Dierks, Arkansas. Three sisters, Nannie Cook and Maudie Golden of Dierks and Flora Harris of Daisy, Arkansas. 6 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren as well as a number of Nephews and Nieces.
