Upon completing his tour of duty, he returned to the states, got married to Mildred & had 7 children: Joe, Phyllis, Joyce, Kimberly, Alden, Donnie & Danny. He lived in Kentucky for 40 + years before returning to New Mexico. He became a Forest Ranger in the Coronado National Park in Chiricahua, Cochise County, AZ mountains where he met Bev Deerman & later married in 1990. Together they partnered as Postal Contract drivers until their retirement moving from Deming to Rodeo in 1995 and thus began displaying signs of early onset dementia. Over the years it progressively worsened & in 2004 his wife & family agreed to place him in a Care facility located in Lordsburg, NM until his death in 2006, just 3 days after his brother George. He received Military Honors at graveside, performed by the VFW Post of Lordsburg. The following day after his internment, his wife, Beverly Ann passed away (January 24, 2006) and was laid to rest next to him on Jan. 30.
