Eliza is Williams second wife.
His first wife was Sidney Hardwick born 1802 Died 1837. They were married 16 Oct 1822 in ST Claire Co Al. & had the following children, All last names Barnhill. 1. Adaline & Cathiline (twins) born 1825 At St Calaire Co, Al. Adaline died before 1880 in McNairy Co, Tenn. William J. born May30,1830 in McNairy Co. and died after June 1900 in Marthaville, Natchitoches Parish, La. Mary Jane b,1832 in McNairy Co. and died between 1846 & 1926 at Marthaville. Infant born & died 1833 Cyntha Ann b.1837 d. about 1858 Marthaville, La. His wife either died during childbirth or soon after. Sometime later he married Eliza & started a second set of children.
