Scottish-born vaudeville star and motion picture actor of the 1910s and 20s. As a so-called "Chaplin imitator," he starred in silent comedy films such as "After Her Millions" and "Partners in Crime." Due to a series of on-set injuries, he spent his final years relatively inactive, succumbing to stomach cancer in the summer of 1921.
