In 1880 she, her parents, her three siblings, and her father's brother William lived on a farm in Grand Forks County, Dakota Territory.

In 1900 she and her husband and their four children lived in a house they owned, mortgage free, in Minto, ND. He worked as a carpenter.

In 1910 she and Daniel and their five children lived in a house they were renting at 818 Fourth Street in Grand Forks, ND. He worked as a carpenter for a contractor, and Henry as a messenger for an independent service.

In 1920 she and her husband and their six youngest children lived in a house they owned, with a mortgage, at 1023 North Fourth Street in Grand Forks. Daniel worked as a general carpenter, Walter as a farm laborer, and Roy as a clerk in a grocery store.
