George Lemoyne Baskette, second son of John Henry (1862-1955) and Frances "Fannie" Moore Le Moyne Baskette (1862-1935), was born May 2, 1897, in Nashville, Tn. He moved to Alhambra, Ca. and was a chemist for Southern California Edison Co. He served in the Navy Air Force in 1918. He married in 1923, Martha Miles (1899-1966), daughter of Harry (1874-1937) and Lucy Thompson Miles (1875-1940), of Larchmont, N.Y. and Atlanta. Her father was president of Georgia Marble Company. Their daughters were Betty Jean (1925-); and Virginia LeMoyne Baskette (1930-)(UCLA 1953) who lived in Villa Park, Ca. The latter married in 1953, Melvin Earl Chester (1929-96)(UCLA 1955) who served in the Army, 1950-52. Their children are Katherine Jean, Dr. Frederick Michael and Susan Ellen Chester. Betty Jean Baskette (1925-)(UCLA 1945) lived in Big Lake, Alaska and was a microbiologist and librarian. She married in 1948, Lawrence Guild Victors (1923-), son of John Renee (1892-1980) and Mapril Keasey Victors (1898-1986), of Portland, Or. He was an insurance agent, banker and stockbroker. His father served in WWII in the Navy, 1942-46. Their sons are John Lawrence, Stephen Alan and Christopher Miles Victors.

George LeMoyne Baskette's father was John Henry Baskette (1862-1955), third son of Judge John Howard (1829-84) and Matilda Keiser DuVal Baskette (1834-1924). He served two terms as city councilman in Nashville, Tn. He last lived in Redondo Beach, Ca. He married in 1889, Frances Moore Le Moyne (1862-1935). Their children were John Howard, II (1890-1979), Esther (1895-1977) and George Lemoyne Baskette (1897-1992).

John Howard Baskette II (1890-1979) lived in Hollywood, Cal. He married in 1924, Dorothy Moffatt Crosby (1892-1961), of Kansas City. Their daughter, Kimi Baskette (1915-97), married Charles Spear, and have a daughter.

Esther Baskette (1895-1977) married in 1922, Andrew McCollam (1890-1962), son of William (1855-94) and Elvira Gayden Cage McCollam (1861-1935), of Ellendale, a sugar cane plantation in Houma, La. Their children were Eleanor "Ellen" Elizabeth (1925-2017) and Andrew McCollam, Jr. (1929-2011).
