Rueben was born February 29, 1924 in Benton County to Joseph and Rena (Balder) Brambrink. He married Eleanor David on October 29, 1947 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. Rueben farmed and lived in Benton County his entire life. He was a member of Church of the Annunciation, where he was a Trustee for twelve years and belonged to St. Joseph Mission Group. Rueben served on the School Board for District 38 and was Clerk of Graham Town Board. He served his country in the Merchant Marines. Rueben enjoyed woodworking, but the light of his life was his wife, children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Kathy Brambrink; brother, Earl Brambrink; sisters, Leone Rau and Dorothy Seaton.
