Sarah M. Senner, 104, of St. Joseph, MO, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her home. Born October 20, 1907 in Maitland, MO, the daughter of Marvin P. and Maud V. Kneale Meadows, she grew up on their farm in Cloud Co, KS.

Sarah taught school in Kansas for 37 years, beginning in a one-room school house and retiring from Rochester Grade School in Topeka in 1972.

On October 10, 1940, she married Harold E. Senner.

They raised two daughters, Sarah Jane and Mary Ann.

Sarah was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, her husband of 63 years, and her daughter, Mary A. Schneider.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Urban) Wise, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
