Brown-Arthur M. Brown, 68, died Monday afternoon in a local nursing bome after an illness of nine years. He made his home at 906 South Eleventh Avenue and had lived in this district for 22 years. Mr. Brown was a retired barber. He was a member of the First Methodist church and the Barber's union. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Albert Bonwell, Mrs. Harold Grogan and Mrs. Larry McCoy, all of Yakima; Mrs. Leonard Allen of Tieton and Mrs. Charles Henke of Deer Island, Ore.; Four sons, C. R. Brown of Yakima, Sanford Brown of Lincoln, Neb., Melvin Brown and Arthur G. Brown, both of Los Angeles; one brother, Sanford Brown of Oklahoma, and 22 grandchildren. Shaw & Sons is in charge of arrangements.
