Edith Estabelle Combs, 70, of Luray, died on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Page Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Oct. 8, 1941, in Luray and was a daughter of Virginia Mae Richards of Luray and the late Buford Walter Richards Sr.

Mrs. Combs was a member of the Luray Pentecostal Church.

On Aug. 21, 1962, she married Charles Sherman Combs, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Juanita Combs of Winchester, Teresa Miller of Luray, and Lisa R. Hawkins of Mount Jackson; a son, C. Anthony Combs of Luray; two sisters, Rebecca R. Kling and Patricia L. Ambrose, both of Luray; three brothers, Matthew O. and Mark W. Richards, both of Luray, and Rexford A. Richards of Broadway; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin F., Roger W. and Buford W.
Richards Jr.

A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Luray Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Daniel D. Herring and the Rev. Bobby Jenkins.

Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
